QuickWood air tools put flap wheel sanding on the end of an air hose. Each tool spins a flap wheel head sized for a different class of work, from detail sanding to full panels, using shop compressed air instead of an electric motor. They are the small-shop version of the same flap technology inside QuickWood production machines.

What is a pneumatic sanding drum?

Pneumatic sanding drums are inflatable rubber drums wrapped in an abrasive sleeve. Air pressure sets the firmness, so the drum can be soft for contours or firm for flatter faces. They excel at bowls, curved rails and convex shapes where a flap wheel is too aggressive.

Do I need a big compressor?

These are rotary vane air tools with modest consumption compared to sanders that run continuously under load. Any small-shop compressor that runs a die grinder will run the F1 through F6; the F15 with its 8" wheel appreciates more tank. If your volume outgrows air tools entirely, the automatic brush sanding machines are at quickwood.com.

Size your compressor to the tool: the F3 and F6 run comfortably on a mid-size shop compressor, while the F15's ~20 CFM draw calls for a larger unit or receiver tank for continuous work.
