When to use P120 flap strips
P120 is the most-loaded grit in most wood shops: fine enough to leave hardwood ready for stain, coarse enough to erase the scratch pattern left by P80 and P100. If you buy one grit for general raw-wood sanding of profiles, curves and shaped parts, buy P120.
Before and after P120
P120 follows P100 in a full sequence, or opens the job on wood that machined cleanly. Step to P150 for a finer stain-ready surface, or stop here for most paint-grade and darker-stain work. Between finish coats, move to P180 and finer — P120 is too coarse for a sealed surface.
Fitting these strips
Each set is 28 strips for the re-flappable QuickWood hub in 45mm standard or 65mm tall trim; the taller trim reaches profiles deeper than about 1.5 inches.
