What is a deburring disc?
A deburring disc is a stiff abrasive disc made to round the sharp edges of laser-cut sheet metal parts consistently, part after part, in automatic deburring machines. Unlike a flexible flap wheel, a deburring disc holds its edge — that stiffness is what breaks corners uniformly across hundreds of parts. Common Questions
Why round the edges of laser-cut parts?
Three reasons: safety (burrs cut hands), coating adhesion (paint and powder pull away from a sharp edge, so a small radius makes coatings last), and fit (burrs stack up in assemblies). A deburring disc pass leaves a consistent small radius on every edge of the part.
Deburring disc or flap wheel?
